I’m the mom of an engineering student. My son Dan, like you, was looking for information on scholarships for engineering and I started doing searches to help him find them. I created Scholarships for Engineering to collect all the information I found.
You might ask, “well wouldn’t you want to keep this information quiet, so fewer students were competing with your son?”
I would, except that a lot of the scholarships I found, were not ones that Dan was eligible for. Many engineering scholarships are for a particular kind of engineering: chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering. You have to apply to some scholarships in a particular year of study.. from high school senior year (we missed some of these, ouch) through undergraduate years and even a few graduate engineering scholarships or awards. So only a portion of the scholarship information that I found would be useful to Dan. And I must confess if I run across a scholarship that he’s perfect for, I might just be a little slower posting that information for all the other cash-hungry students to see. I am a Mom! You know what that means.
I am using the categories to try and make it easier for people to sort through this scholarship information and find ones that fit their needs, but you’ll also notice the big Search function in the top header.
